Plastic Repair
I can't count the times I've accidentally broken off a plastic tab that held an interior panel in place. Such a goof used to mean a mad dash to the junkyard in the hope of finding a replacement. Now, thanks to the Plastex plastic repair kit from G.T. Motorsports ($25), the salvage yards will be seeing less of me.
The Plastex Plastic repair kit (available in a variety of colors) lets you mold and recast just about any broken plastic part. Simply make a mold of an undamaged tab with the included molding compound and apply the mold to the damaged area. Fill it with the Plastex powder and apply the hardener solution. Once the Plastex cures, peel away the mold and clean up the new plastic with light sanding.
